Kid Entrepreneurs selling BIC pens...what's up with that?

Our grandfather started a business with our dad when he was 13. This year two of us turned 13 and we began our first businss with our dad. All three of us (two girls, age 13 and our brother, age 10) divide up the responsibilities.

We have the opportunity to learn what business is all about. The internet offers us the chance to have a job with flexible hours that work around our school and activity schedule. We're learning everything from how to build a web site to writing the information as well as the financial side of how to price products and how to provide great customer service. Down the road we may also add on the creation of artwork (our mom is the artist in the famliy).

We give back 10% of what we earn to charity and most of the rest goes to our college fund.
